How to test a question

Open a private or incognito window and go to ChatGPT without signing in. Signed in, it can lean on your past chats and memory, and it may already know your business because you have mentioned it. Signed out, it is closer to what a stranger sees.

Ask one question at a time, exactly as written. Then read the answer for two things: is your business named, and is your web address given or linked as a source? Note who is named instead. Those are the businesses the AI found easier to recommend.

Answers change from one ask to the next, even for the same question in the same minute, so one test is a glimpse rather than a measurement. Ask again tomorrow and you may see a different list. For more on testing without fooling yourself, see how to check whether ChatGPT recommends your business.

Where the questions come from

We read your public pages the way an AI assistant would, work out what you do, for whom and where, and write the questions a person types when they need it, before they have heard of you. They are first person and problem first, because that is how people talk to ChatGPT: "we need…", "my…", "what's the cheapest way to…". They never use your name, since a stranger does not know it yet.

They are a mix: the best option for a need, how to do something, a comparison between well-known choices, free or cheap options, and one or two local questions when you serve a place. Each comes with a short line on why it should lead to you.

What they are not: measured search or prompt volumes. No one outside the AI companies can see what people type into ChatGPT. These are the questions most likely to matter for your site, from reading it, and the right place to start testing.

Questions

About the questions, how to test them, and what they can and cannot tell you.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no email and no card. Paste a website and you get its questions. One read of a site serves everyone who asks for it that day, and we limit how many new sites one network can read in an hour.

Are these the most searched questions?

No, and we will not pretend they are. Nobody outside the AI companies can see what people type into ChatGPT, and the tools that sell prompt volumes estimate them. We read your site and write the questions most likely to lead a stranger to a business like yours. Treat them as a well-made starting list to test, not as measured demand.

Why should I test in a private window?

Signed in, ChatGPT can use your past chats and saved memory, and it may already know your business because you have talked about it. A private window, signed out, is closer to what a stranger sees. Even then, answers vary from one ask to the next, so one test is a glimpse, not a measurement.

Why only a ChatGPT button?

Because it is the only one that works signed out today. We checked each assistant in a real, signed-out browser: ChatGPT opens the question and answers it. Perplexity opens the question but asks you to sign up before it answers, and Claude and Gemini need you to sign in or ignore the question. For those, press Copy and paste the question in yourself.

What does "cited" mean?

An answer names your business, and often links to your site as a source. Being named is the recommendation; the link is the proof that the AI read you. Look for both, and note which businesses are named instead of you.

How is this different from aipozi?

This tool gives you the questions so you can test one AI, once, by hand. aipozi asks all four, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, every morning with live web search on, through their official APIs, and keeps every answer word for word. Your first check is free, and these questions carry straight into it.
