Terms of service

The agreement between you and aipozi when you use aipozi.com and the aipozi app, in plain English.

The service

aipozi asks AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) the questions you set for a website, through each provider's official API with web search on, and shows you whether the website was named, whether its address was given, who was recommended instead, and the answers word for word.

A check is one run of a site's questions (up to 10) on all four assistants. Paid sites are checked automatically every morning at 05:00 South African time. In these terms, "aipozi", "we" and "us" mean the provider of the service; "you" means the person or business using it.

Your account

You sign in with Google or a link sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure; anyone who can open it can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

The free first check

Each free account can add one site, and gets one free first check for it. Each website gets one free check in total, whoever adds it. We may verify your email before running it. We can withdraw the free check if it is being used to get around these limits.

Billing

  • Daily checks cost $29 a month per site, billed through Stripe in US dollars.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from Billing in the app. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and it doesn't renew after that.
  • We don't refund part months.
  • VAT or sales tax is added where the law requires it.
  • If we change the price, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Fair and acceptable use

Use aipozi to monitor websites you have a legitimate interest in: your own, your clients', or competitors you follow in the ordinary course of business. Don't use it to:

  • overload, probe or attack any website, or try to get around robots.txt or other access controls;
  • send questions designed to make the AI providers produce unlawful, harmful or abusive content;
  • break the rules of the AI providers whose APIs we use;
  • resell, scrape or automate the service beyond what the app offers, or get around our limits.

We may pause or close an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

What we can and can’t promise

AI answers change from one run to the next, by location, and when the providers update their models. aipozi measures what the assistants said when we asked. It can't promise any ranking, recommendation, traffic or result, and following our suggestions doesn't guarantee that an assistant will mention you.

The answers we show are written by third-party AI systems, not by us. They may be wrong, out of date or unfair, and we don't endorse them. We show them word for word so you can judge them yourself.

Your content

The sites, questions and settings you add are yours. You let us use them to run the service for you. We don't use them for anything else; see Privacy.

Liability

We provide aipozi as it is and as available, and we work to keep it running well. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. You can stop using aipozi and delete your sites at any time. We may end the service with at least 30 days' notice, and we'll refund any period you've paid for and won't receive.
