What an AI visibility tool does
An AI visibility tool asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and other AIs the questions your customers would type, then records what comes back: whether your brand was named, whether your website was linked, and which competitors were recommended instead. Answers change between runs, so a tool that repeats the questions on a schedule tells you more than a single manual test. Our guide on why AI answers change every time explains why.

Notes on the table:
- Otterly.AI lists its prices behind a monthly and annual toggle. The $25 figure is the annual price per month, a 15% discount.
- Ahrefs also lists an AI Visibility Index from €179 a month, which tracks over 512 million prompts with no set-up. Its page says Custom Prompts are "free for every paid Ahrefs Lite plan and above", which is unclear, so confirm on their site.
- Rankscale's pricing page and its home page disagree: the home page says plans "start at $99/month", while the pricing page shows an Essentials plan at $17. Check which applies to you.
- Semrush's help page and pricing page describe the prompt tracking platforms differently (ChatGPT and Google AI Mode on one, four platforms on the other). Confirm before you buy.
- How each tool collects answers is not stated on most of the pricing pages we read. aipozi uses each company's official API with live web search on, and does not scrape the consumer apps.
Choose by use case
We have not ranked these tools from best to worst. A tool that is right for an agency is wrong for a plumber, so they are grouped by who they suit.
Small business or one site
Options here have a low entry price and a short list of questions: aipozi, Otterly.AI, Rankscale and Ahrefs Brand Radar's Lite tier.
- Otterly.AI is the closest like-for-like. Its Lite plan is $29 a month for 15 prompts, against aipozi's 10 questions. It covers Google AI Overviews and Copilot, which aipozi does not. Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode cost extra on Otterly: Claude adds $29 a month on the Lite plan, and Gemini and AI Mode add $9 each.
- aipozi includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity in one $29 price per site, keeps every answer word for word, and reports "recommended in X of Y runs" instead of a single rank. It writes the questions for you by scanning your site, and the first check is free with no card. It does not track Google AI Overviews or AI Mode, has no multi-country or language tracking, and has no API yet.
- Rankscale shows the lowest sticker price and the most engines (17+), measured in credits. Its page does not explain how answers are collected.
- Ahrefs Brand Radar starts at €47 a month for 5 prompts, which is a higher price per question but comes from a large SEO company with data beyond AI answers.
Agency or many clients
- Profound is aimed at enterprises and agencies. Its page lists up to nine engines on the Enterprise plan and an "Agency Growth" plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace, with no price shown.
- Peec AI names agencies and multi-project teams in its plans. Its pricing page did not show prices or limits when we read it, so go to the page directly.
- Scrunch lists agency features on a separate page and supports up to 700 custom prompts on its Growth plan at $417 a month billed annually.
aipozi has no agency or white-label features. If you manage many clients, pick one of the tools above.
Enterprise
Profound (Enterprise, custom price, up to nine engines), Scrunch Enterprise (SAML/OIDC, an Enterprise Data API) and Otterly.AI Enterprise (custom, "starting from 1,000 search prompts") sell to larger organisations. aipozi is not built for this.
SEO suite add-on
If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, adding AI tracking inside the same login may be easier than adding a new tool.
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 a month per domain billed annually for 25 prompts, with 50 more prompts for $60 a month. Its knowledge base lists prompt tracking across 220+ countries and territories, which is far wider than aipozi.
- Ahrefs Brand Radar adds daily custom prompt tracking and an AI visibility index to Ahrefs.

How to choose
Four questions settle most decisions.
- How many questions do you need tracked? A shop with one site and a handful of buyer questions needs ten or fifteen. An agency needs hundreds.
- Which AIs matter to your customers? If Google AI Overviews matter most, aipozi is not the right fit. If ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity are the target, check each tool includes them without an add-on.
- How are the answers collected? Ask the vendor. Answers collected through a company's official API are different from answers read from the consumer app, and the difference affects how closely they match what a person sees.
- Can you read the actual answers? A score is useful, but the answer word for word, with the pages the AI read, is what shows you what to fix.
